Untreated Oregon Big Leaf Maple Burl Block
This is a nice piece of Oregon Big Leaf Maple Burl with attractive color and strong burl figure. This piece does not have the bark pockets and voids that you usually see in maple burl.
The wood has been left untreated for makers who prefer natural material or are working on projects that do not require chemical stabilization. It is fully dry and ready to use.
A light coat of aerosol lacquer has been applied to help protect the block during storage and handling. This coating can be easily removed or worked through when you begin shaping and finishing your project.
