My Favorites

It’s pretty common for customers to ask me to pick what I think is the best piece from a group of similar blocks. That can be a tough call. Many pieces look close to the same, with only small differences in figure, color, or character. And when it comes to wood, beauty is personal—three people can look at the same group and choose three different favorites. This is where I’ll share some of the pieces that really stand out to me in each wood category.

After looking through My Favorites, be sure to check the full selection in the main category for that wood. You may agree with my picks, or you may spot something that catches your eye even more.

If you’re stuck choosing between a few great pieces, my best advice is simple—get them all.
