Untreated Fiddleback Curly Maple Block
This block is an exceptional piece of Oregon Big Leaf Maple with tight bold (fiddleback) curly figure that shows on all 4 surfaces of the wood.
The wood has been left untreated for makers who prefer natural material or are working on projects that do not require chemical stabilization. It is fully dry and ready to use.
A light coat of aerosol lacquer has been applied to help protect the block during storage and handling. This coating can be easily removed or worked through when you begin shaping and finishing your project.
