Untreated Ancient Bog Oak Block
This block is genuine Ancient Bog Oak from Ukraine, carbon dated to approximately 6,450 years old (± 50 years). A copy of the carbon-dating report is included with the purchase.
The wood has been left untreated for makers who prefer natural material or are working on projects that do not require chemical stabilization. It is fully dry and ready to use.
A light coat of aerosol lacquer has been applied to help protect the block during storage and handling. This coating can be easily removed or worked through when you begin shaping and finishing your project.
