Stabilized Dyed Maple Burl Scales
This is some good Oregon Maple Burl that I had K&G dye to give this coloring. Several years back CZ Firearms had me produce hundreds of scale sets like this which they used to make the grips for their anniversary handgun.
Professionally stabilized by K&G Stabilizing Services, this block has been pressure-infused with their proprietary resin, which penetrates deep into the wood fibers. Once fully impregnated, the resin is cured with heat to create a solid, durable structure. This process enhances strength and stability, helping to prevent cracking, warping, and discoloration common in untreated wood. It also makes finishing easier, allowing you to achieve a smooth, high-gloss surface.
